Where does the name or word Sheckels come from?  Hmmm.....

shekel Pronunciation: 'she-kel - Function: noun - Origin: Hebrew sheqel
1 a : any of various ancient units of weight; especially : a Hebrew unit equal to about 252 grains troy
b : a unit of value based on a shekel weight of gold or silver 2 : a coin weighing one shekel

Okay, so a Hebrew word for MONEY!  Unfortunately, I don't HAVE any!  I don't even have much money from my own country! ;-(

JOIN THE FUN!  CATCH THE EXCITEMENT!  TROOP 742 MEETS EVERY TUESDAY, 7:00 PM

Troop 742 is the original Boy Scout Troop in Hope Mills, North Carolina.  Having existed since the 1930s, many of the leaders of Hope Mills and Cumberland County have seen membership as Scouts or Scouters in our Troop.

Troop 742 offers a dynamic youth led program, with monthly camping and other outdoor activities, as well as a full schedule of fund raising and community service activities.

Our Scoutmaster is Wayne Chandler Jr.
