Where does the name or word Sheckels come from?  Hmmm.

shekel Pronunciation: 'she-kel - Function: noun - Origin: Hebrew sheqel
1 a : any of various ancient units of weight; especially : a Hebrew unit equal to about 252 grains troy
b : a unit of value based on a shekel weight of gold or silver 2 : a coin weighing one shekel

Okay, so a Hebrew word for MONEY!  Unfortunately, I don't HAVE any!  I don't even have much money from my own country! ;-(

Hello.  My name is Jim Sheckels.  I live in Hope Mills/Fayetteville, North Carolina with my wife Becky, and our son Ken. Our daughter, Katrina, and her husband Joe (the Jambors), also live in Fayetteville, NC.  Katrina is an accountant with Copiers Plus while Joe is a modeling & simulation programmer for the Army at Fort Bragg - he is a contractor with General Dynamics AIS.  Katrina and Joe also take care of the grand-kittens, Stewie and Opal. Ken takes care of the grand-puppy, Dori.

I retired from the U.S. Army in 1996 as a First Sergeant after 21 years of active service.

I am a National Rifle Association Training Counselor - Instructor, Chief Range Safety Officer, and Refuse to be a Victim instructor; certified  in basic pistol, rifle, shotgun, muzzle loading rifle, home firearm safety, and personal protection. 

 I instruct especially for youth, and I have held women-only instruction courses.  Also certified as a Field Archery Basic Instructor, North Carolina Concealed Carry Handgun instructor as well as NC Hunter Education Basic and Bowhunting Safety instructor.
